1. Who are we?

A more detailed description of who we are is here.

2. Can I join if I don't have a motor dealer / wholesale license but have been in the industry for years?

Unfortunately no. We understand there are lots of people with many years of motor industry experience that may not have a motor dealer license; however we want to create a regulated environment to ensure all dealers meet a benchmark standard of experience recognised by the relevant state’s governing body.

3. If I join can I be sure that all members I do business with are licensed?

Yes. We have structured our registration process to be as automated as possible and to ensure that all registered dealers have to provide proof of their dealer / wholesale license and ABN. Each registration request is then vetted by our administration team who view these documents which are then stored in each users profile as a permanent record. This ensures ALL accepted dealers will be valid license holders only.

4. Can I join if my motor dealer / wholesale license is about to expiry?

Yes. All new registration requests are vetted by our administration team and all accepted profiles have an expiry date that reflects the expiry date of each member’s dealer / wholesale license. We will remind you 30 days before your license expires each time you log in, when this time is approaching, so you know you have to upload or send your new dealer / wholesale license to us to approve. Once vetted by our administration team you will be notified immediately if it is accepted or declined. If declined, the reasons why will also be provided to you in the same notification to allow you to rectify.

5. Why do you restrict trading to only licensed motor dealers / traders?

As Motortrademail.com.au is evolving the wholesale process from the physical environment to the internet, we needed to make sure there is a benchmark to self certify industry experience and know-how to provide members the satisfaction of knowing that the dealers they are trading with aren’t just “backyarders”, and should have a similar ethos and professionalism attached to a licensed motor dealer / wholesaler.

6. If I don't know how to upload documents to the internet, can I still join?

Yes. However we still need to get a copy of your own dealer / wholesale license before we can proceed with finalising your registration request – there is no exception. Click here to contact our sales team to arrange an alternative method.

7. If I am not that internet savvy, can I get some help in registering and submitting payment to become a member?

Yes – no problems! Please contact our sales team by clicking here and filling out your contact details and we will be more than happy to contact you by phone and go through the process with you.

8. Once I submit my registration, what do I do now?

Once you have completed the whole registration process successfully, our administration team will view your request to become a member. Please make sure you have stored your username and password and wait for a notification email from us for the next steps.

9. I have registered with Motortrademail.com.au should I be receiving notifications and if so, how?

Yes you should receive regular notifications from us. Once you have submitted your registration request, please make sure you set your email system up to receive all email notifications from “motortrademail.com.au”, so that they don’t mistakenly get sent to your SPAM inbox; in which case you may not notice you have been getting notifications from us. We will send emails to the email address you provided in your registration request.

10. If I have been notified that my registration request has been declined, what happens now?

In this instance, you need to do 2 things:

1. Read the email we sent you with any comments that may have been added from the administrators for you to follow.

2. Log into the website using your username and password.

You will notice comments from administrators beside the link to your previously uploaded documents shown as “open document”. From this page, you have the ability to upload new documents if needed to your profile and click on “save”. This will then notify the administrators to view your recent submission and allow us to review your request for membership again

.

11. I have been sent a notification to confirm my account has been approved, what happens now?

Firstly congratulations, now you can log into your account!

Once logged in it is recommended that you go to your “my details” tab and set up which make & models you want to be notified of as soon as they are put up for sale by another dealer so you can be first to enquire about the car. You must also select at least 1 state to receive automatic notifications from, you will only receive instant automatic notifications from the chosen state’s dealers; you can select as many states as you want to select, but this increases the number of notifications you will receive 24/7.

12. If I run out of advertisements half way through my trial period what do I do now?

All free trial period accounts are allocated a maximum number of advertisements. This number is indicated on your profile of how many are left, and the same when you officially join motortrademail.com.au. If you use your maximum allowance, you can select a suitable membership from your profile and upgrade immediately to ensure that you can continue to sell, request wholesale prices and request cars.

13. If I run out of advertisements half way through the month as a paying member, how do I get more?

All full members of motortrademail.com.au have the ability to select different levels of membership offering more advertisement allowances per account. At any time any dealer can upgrade their membership to a different account and gain more advertisements. The 3 levels of membership include advertisement allowances per member per month of - 50, 100 & 200.

14. Can I ad pictures to my advertisements?

Yes, we have an allowance for every dealer who is selling or requesting a wholesale price to upload photos for each advertisement. This allows dealers to get a better idea of the car they are looking at.

15. I have submitted an advertisement but noticed I put the wrong details in a section, how can I correct it?

Each advertisement is able to be reviewed before submitting it to the network and therefore we don’t make it standard practice to edit any live advertisements and any requests may be politely refused. From the review page, every member is able to select “back” to edit any of their advertisement details and is prompted before each advertisement is submitted.

16. What if I don't want to deal with a particular member?

Every dealer has the ability to block other dealer’s advertisements and also mark other dealers as a favourite dealer.

17. If I am part of a multi site dealer group, can we have just a single account?

In order to up-hold account and user transparency this isn’t possible. Multi site dealers can register the additional sites here or contact our sales team direct here to discuss options. Our dealer-to-dealer only platform can provide multi site dealer groups an additional cost efficient internal and external wholesale, sales route to market, on average saving over $200 per vehicle!

18. What do I do if the car I purchased doesn't meet the description in the advertisement?

As motor dealers ourselves, we have attempted to capture all information required for buyers to make a sensible decision on the car of interest, including what the estimated spend may be, registration & in some states how long a RWC has left - all cost features to name just a few.

Additional to this, we provide full contact details, an optional open text box for sellers to further describe the car in the advertisment and image options, so that buyers obtain a higher level of detail about the car than what they would when a car is described over the phone only; buyers can contact sellers straight away by phone, email or via our internal communication services to discuss the cars details, as well as how the transaction should occur.

19. Do you provide a public communication platform for dealers to discuss industry matters?

Yes, but not public. We provide all dealers a member only forum to discuss all industry matters as well as news, reviews and messages. Please refer to our terms and conditions for all dealer forum users.

20. How do I get answers to questions that are not in this FAQ?
